CREATIVE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP

with

National Arts Strategies

Susan E. Rosano, a Guilford, Vermont resident, was one of twenty-five people selected for her project that will positively impact her New England community. National Arts Strategies is so excited for her to begin collaborations with the other fellows in January of 2022.

Please see "Senior Programs and Expressive Arts" page for examples of Susan's NAS Fellowship program.

Susan’s Creative Community Fellowship project is called “Wisdom In Our Community,” a project related to successful aging that involves supporting the self-esteem of seniors through arts related projects that include stories, poems, music and visual arts, while using community collaborations to bring attention to the treasures of wisdom, experience and valued personal histories residing within our senior citizens.  Negative messages about aging can cast an unwelcome shadow across the lives of people over 50 in our culture. Susan is hoping change that attitude in her community through the positive goals of her project. She hopes to find some community partners to help her implement her project with goals of support and enrichment for our seniors, while making the community aware of the importance of our seniors, their knowledge and historic pasts.
